KOTA BELUD: Aug 10, 2026 – Police have opened an investigation paper regarding the circulation of videos and images on social media showing a brawl and an individual being assaulted, resulting in injuries, believed to have occurred around 5.30pm on Aug 8.
Kota Belud District Police Chief ASP Ahmad Fathie Md Salleh said the police had received a report concerning the incident and investigations are underway to identify those involved and determine the cause of the altercation.
The case is being investigated under Section 323 and Section 506 of the Penal Code.
Police also advised the public not to speculate or spread unverified information, including related video recordings and images.
Members of the public with information are urged to come forward to assist in the investigation.
