PUTRAJAYA: July 24, 2026 – The Public Service Department (JPA) has introduced Touch ‘n Go e-Wallet as an alternative pension payment channel and launched MyPesara Plus to strengthen service delivery to 835,146 pensioners and derivative pension recipients nationwide.
Both initiatives were launched by the Director-General of Public Service, Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz, at the JPA Monthly Assembly held at the JPA Auditorium on Wednesday.
“JPA does not merely manage retirement affairs and pension payments; it is committed to ensuring that pensioners continue to enjoy a more prosperous life after retirement through services that are more accessible, secure, and value-adding,” he said.
He said the use of Touch ‘n Go e-Wallet as an alternative pension payment channel – the first of its kind in the government sector – offers pensioners a more flexible, rapid and secure payment option, particularly for those facing difficulties receiving their pensions due to frozen or blocked bank accounts.
He added that the initiative had been realised through strategic collaboration between JPA, the Ministry of Finance, the Retirement Fund Incorporated (KWAP) and Touch ‘n Go e-Wallet to ensure pension payments continued to be received without disruption.
He noted that as of May 2026, a total of 122 pensioners had received pension payments through this method, involving monthly payments totalling RM254,841.21.
At the same event, JPA also launched MyPesara Plus, an enhancement of the Pensioner Benefits Programme that expands benefits to pensioners through strategic partnerships with various industry players encompassing the health, pharmaceutical, transport, retail and accommodation sectors.
“Appreciating the service of civil servants does not end on the day they retire. Instead, it continues through the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure they continue to enjoy quality services and benefits relevant to their needs in post-retirement life,” he added.
He said the implementation of both initiatives reflected JPA’s continued commitment to strengthening the pensioner welfare ecosystem through more responsive, inclusive and technology-driven service delivery, in line with the aspirations of the MADANI Public Service Reform.
