KOTA KINABALU: Sept 15, 2026 — Borneo Housing Mortgage Finance Berhad (BHMFB) has paid a dividend of RM15 million to the Sabah and Sarawak state governments after recording a positive financial performance for the financial year ended 2025.
BHMFB chairman Tan Sri Datuk Ammar Dr Abdul Aziz Husain said the dividend was paid equally to both state governments, with each receiving RM7.5 million.
He said the total dividends paid to Sabah and Sarawak over the past five years amounted to about RM70 million, including RM14 million each year since 2021.
“BHMFB recorded a positive performance by paying a dividend of RM15 million to the Sabah and Sarawak state governments for the financial year ended 2025,” he said.
He said this to reporters after a courtesy visit to Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah Tun Musa Aman at Istana Seri Kinabalu here yesterday.
According to Abdul Aziz, the visit was to inform Tun Musa about BHMFB’s development and financial performance.
He said BHMFB now has total assets of RM1.6 billion, while the company’s performance up to August also showed positive growth.
“As of August, the performance has been quite good and, insya-Allah, we will be able to contribute perhaps even more next year,” he said.
BHMFB is a joint venture between Sabah and Sarawak through Sarawak Financial Secretary Incorporated and Qhazanah Sabah Berhad, with each holding a 50 percent stake.
