KENINGAU: Sept 25, 2026 — The Keningau District National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) detained several suspects, or Orang Yang Disyaki (OYDS), under Op Cegah No. 11/26 in the Keningau and Tambunan areas.
All the suspects underwent preliminary urine screening. The tests found them positive for methamphetamine.
Further action against the suspects is being taken under the provisions of the Drug Dependants and Substance Abusers (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983 (Act 283).
The Act prioritises a socio-health approach through treatment and rehabilitation interventions to help those involved return to functioning positively in society.
AADK also urged the public to continue cooperating by channelling information on drug abuse activities.
Community cooperation is important to ensure prevention, treatment and rehabilitation efforts can be carried out more effectively for the well-being of the community.
