PENAMPANG: Oct 10, 2026 – A total of 20 wheelchairs and 40 linked chairs worth RM23,600 were donated to the Penampang Polyclinic by Sabah Deputy Chief Minister III Datuk Ewon Benedick to meet the needs of patients at the clinic.

Ewon, who is also Penampang MP, said the donation followed his visit to the Penampang District Health Office on Sept 22, when he was informed of the need for the equipment.

He said all the equipment was purchased using the Penampang MP’s special allocation.

“I hope this equipment will help meet the needs and improve the comfort of patients seeking medical services here,” he said.

The donation was received by Penampang District Health Officer Dr Euphrasia Anak Bari during Ewon’s visit to the clinic today.

In 2024, Ewon also channelled a special MP allocation of RM200,000 for the construction of two cabins for rehabilitation and tuberculosis (TB) services, including a waiting area at the Maternal and Child Clinic building, Penampang Health Clinic.
