SELANGOR: Oct 6, 2026 — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) arrested eight local individuals aged between 20 and 43 believed to be members of the organised crime group Geng Yunaa in Op Angel in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Johor.
The operation was mounted by the D7 and D9 branches of the Selangor Criminal Investigation Department (CID), with assistance from the Bukit Aman D3 Division, Bukit Aman E1 Division and Johor CID.
All suspects were detained at several residential and business premises for further investigation. Five premises were also raided in the integrated operation.
Geng Yunaa is believed to have been active since 2024 and is linked to 17 cases of offering sexual services, including allegations of exploiting children and teenagers for prostitution.
All suspects have been remanded for 28 days under Section 4(5) of the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (SOSMA). Investigations into the arrests at the premises are being carried out under Sections 373 and 372B of the Penal Code, and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
