KOTA KINABALU: 24 June 2026 – A total of 354 education personnel in Sabah have received the 2025 Excellent Service Award (APC) in recognition of their performance, integrity and commitment to advancing the education sector.
In addition, 15 retired education staff were honoured under the “Jasamu Dikenang” (Your Service Remembered) programme for their contributions throughout their careers.
Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Mohd Razali Wahab said the award was given to individuals who had demonstrated outstanding work performance, high discipline and dedication in carrying out their duties.
“Indeed, the recognition given today is not something easily earned,” he said.
“This award comes as a result of excellent work performance, high discipline, strong integrity and a commitment to discharging responsibilities beyond what is normally expected,” he added.
The recipients included officers from the Sabah State Education Department, district education offices, principals, head teachers, teachers and support staff.
Mohd Razali said the achievements being celebrated reflected the ongoing efforts of education staff to ensure the education system continued to develop and benefit future generations.
He said every tier of the education workforce played a vital role in producing quality human capital capable of contributing to Sabah’s future development.
The 2025 Excellent Service Award and 2026 Jasamu Dikenang ceremony for the Sabah State Education Department was held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) today.
