PENAMPANG: August 9, 2026 – Thousands of young people are expected to converge on the KDCA Hall in Penampang from 1 to 3 September for the 47th Youth Ministry Conference of the Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB) Sabah.
The annual gathering, which draws participants from across the state, is one of the largest youth events on Sabah’s Christian calendar. This year’s conference is themed “Connected,” drawing on John 15:1-8 as its guiding scripture.
According to organisers, the theme teaches young people to draw closer to God while also building strong relationships with one another.
The conference targets SIB Sabah youth aged 13 to 40, although organisers said there is no age restriction for participation. Early online registration via Ticket2U closed on 31 July, but participants may still register on-site at the KDCA Hall throughout the event. The registration fee of RM120 per person covers access to all seminar sessions and the official conference kit.
The revival services held each evening during the conference are open to the public free of charge.
The SIB Sabah Youth Ministry is the youth wing under SIB Sabah, focusing on spiritual development, leadership and service among young people.
