KOTA KINABALU: July 3, 2026 – The organisers of Sabah MotoDay 9.0 have rescheduled the 2026 event from its original dates of 5 and 6 September to 12 and 13 September, in a bid to allow for greater participation from two-wheeled sports enthusiasts.

The Chairman of the Sabah Anti-Drug Squad, Datuk Haji Mazlan @ Joehari Haji Manan, said in a media statement that the change was made following various suggestions and positive feedback from the motorcycle community, who wanted the dates adjusted to enable more participants and visitors to attend.

He said the official launch of Sabah MotoDay 9.0 is scheduled for 13 September 2026 and will be officiated by the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor.

He explained that the event retains the same concept and serves as a platform to convey anti-drug messages to the public, particularly within the two-wheeled sports community in Sabah.

In addition, Sabah MotoDay 9.0 will also feature the closing ceremony of the Drug-Free Aspirations Roadshow, organised by the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) Sabah, in collaboration with the Sabah Anti-Drug Two-Wheel Squad.

The organisers have called on all motorcycle enthusiasts to turn out in full force to enliven Sabah MotoDay 9.0 and make the most of all the programme activities.

All participants and visitors are reminded to always comply with traffic laws and to remain vigilant while riding or driving, for their own safety and that of other road users.

He expressed his hope that Sabah MotoDay 9.0 will continue to serve as a unifying platform for the two-wheeled sports community, helping to raise public awareness about the dangers of drugs, the importance of road safety, and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle.
