KUALA LUMPUR: Oct 1, 2026 – The Education Ministry has immediately halted all programmes involving a freelance speaker who had conducted programmes with students in schools, following serious allegations circulating on social media.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the move was taken to allow for a full investigation into allegations involving the safety and protection of students.
She also asked the Education Ministry to obtain further information on the matter.
“The allegations raised are serious as they involve the safety and protection of students.
“I have asked the Education Ministry to obtain further information on this matter,” she said in a statement today.
Fadhlina also urged anyone with information related to the allegations to come forward and lodge a report with the police.
She said reports to the authorities were important to ensure that appropriate safety, protection and support are provided to students.
“Student safety must be taken seriously and scrutinised. The safety of children under our care cannot be compromised,” she said.
