KOTA BHARU: Aug 17, 2026 — The daughter of a former soldier of Kadazan descent and a Siam mother, Lovely Sabana Augustine, who achieved a CGPA of 4.0, is seeking assistance to further her studies at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI).
Lovely has received an offer to pursue a Bachelor of Education in Moral Studies with Honours and is scheduled to register on Sept 12.

However, Lovely requires RM2,232.35 for registration fees, in addition to a laptop, study materials, and personal necessities to begin her life as a university student.
Her father passed away due to a stroke in 2017. Since then, Lovely has been raised by her mother, Mek Kenui, who works as a cleaner at a school with an income of about RM800 a month.

Mek Kenui also looks after parking at a mosque every Friday and is a RELA volunteer, while Lovely’s three elder brothers work as supermarket sales assistants, shop assistants and village labourers.
The family’s limited financial situation makes it difficult for Lovely to cover the costs of pursuing her studies.
Contributions can be channeled through Yayasan Raja Shamri, Bank Rakyat, account number 1102 0743 45.
