KOTA BELUD: August 21, 2026 — Datuk Ewon Benedick officially opened the Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB) church hall in Kampung Nahaba, Kadamaian, which was built at a cost of RM200,000.
The officiating of the hall was made possible through an allocation from the Sabah state government to meet the local community’s needs for religious and social activities.

The Deputy Chief Minister III, who is also Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship, and Transport, said development in Kadamaian is carried out in a planned manner.
He noted that the Kadamaian Development Plan 2020-2035 has been endorsed by the government and is being implemented in stages.

“There are many development needs that we must address in Kadamaian, and it is not easy to fulfil all of them at once. That is why we have clear planning and priorities,” he said.
Ewon also informed that several large-scale projects are currently being implemented, including road upgrades and the construction of concrete bridges.
He said these projects serve as catalysts for economic growth and community development in Kadamaian.
