TAWAU: Sept 21, 2026 — Tawau District Police seized two vehicles and issued 14 summons notices in an anti-road bully operation at three locations yesterday, from 10.30pm to 2am, involving T2 Jalan Apas, One Arena Jalan Chong Thien Vun and a roadblock at Batu 2 Jalan Apas.
Tawau District Police Chief ACP Rosdi Mat Jusoh said the summonses were issued for offences including no side mirrors, registration numbers not following regulations, exhaust modifications, no Class B2 driving licence and failure to display the ‘P’ sticker.
Cars were actioned for modifying exhausts and using lights other than white, while four-wheel drive vehicles were actioned for using unsuitable vehicles.
“A Fairlady car and a four-wheel drive vehicle were seized under Section 64(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said. Both will be handed over to the Road Transport Department for follow-up action through Operation Extreme.
Throughout the operation, police inspected 80 vehicles and 64 individuals, comprising 30 motorcycles, 30 cars, 18 four-wheel drive vehicles and two lorries.
