SHAH ALAML: July 7, 2026 – A student who was injured in a stabbing incident at a school in Selangor is receiving treatment in hospital, while the suspect has been taken into police custody.
The Selangor State Education Department (JPN) said in a statement on Monday that it was co-operating fully with the police to assist with the investigation.
According to the statement, the immediate priority is to ensure the injured student receives the best possible medical care, as well as to provide support to the victim’s family.
A team of counsellors, along with guidance and counselling teachers, has been mobilised to deliver psychosocial support interventions for the student, teachers and the wider school community.
The department also advised the public against speculating or spreading unverified information, warning that such actions could disrupt the authorities’ investigation process.
