KOTA KINABALU: August 18, 2026 – The RM125 million Sabah Heart Centre is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2029.

Health Minister Datuk Dzulkefly Ahmad said construction is targeted to commence in the third quarter of 2027 and is expected to take approximately 24 months.

“We hope it can begin operations by the third quarter of 2029,” he told reporters after the Sabah Health Development Joint Action Committee Meeting Number 1 of 2026 here on Monday.

The project, under the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK-13) Rolling Plan 1 (RP1) 2026, is currently in the early implementation stage.
