PENAMPANG: October 26, 2026 — Petrova is grateful to have clinched second place in the Borneo Rising competition after successfully advancing to the final, proving her potential in singing.
Petrova said she was satisfied with her performances throughout the competition and appreciated the achievement.
“I feel quite satisfied because I have done my best for tonight. I don’t mind what placing I get,” she said.
Despite the achievement, Petrova, who is currently studying at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), wants to complete her studies first before exploring wider opportunities in singing.
She is currently in her third semester of a programme expected to take four years.
However, Petrova did not rule out the opportunity to develop her talent in Kuala Lumpur should she receive a suitable offer.
“If there is anything in Kuala Lumpur, I will go,” she said.
Petrova also acknowledged that her interest in singing has received full support from her parents since childhood, including when she took part in large-scale competitions.
That family support has driven her to continue pursuing her interest in the arts without neglecting her responsibilities as a student.
