KOTA KINABALU: Oct 26, 2026 — Creative duo Harold Egn and Chris Pereira launched streetwear fashion brand EGNism at Ruang Tamu Ekosistem, Alamesra, on 24 October 2026, to introduce their creative output to the public.
The launch event was attended by collectors, art practitioners and students, including friends and family members, with the event held in a forum format moderated by Sabah podcaster Stevell Lumbasi.

During the forum, the two founders shared their journey, challenges and efforts in realising EGNism as a streetwear fashion brand.
According to Harold Egn, the idea was sparked as early as 2006, but could only be realised recently after they found a suitable collaborative network.
“EGNism began from an idea that was sparked when I first ventured into the arts in 2006,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chris Pereira said the division of tasks between them allows the creative, marketing and technical aspects of the brand to be managed jointly.

“Harold handles the creative aspects of EGNism, while I focus on marketing and technical aspects, including photography and videography to promote our products,” he added.
He said that although the production process appears to be self-managed, they also collaborate with various companies, groups and individuals to produce products that meet requirements including their standards.
EGNism also plans to produce more creative products in the future and develop a sustainable brand with the potential to penetrate international markets.
Efforts to expand the market have already begun after EGNism secured a physical sales platform in Plymouth, United Kingdom, thus opening opportunities to introduce their products to overseas markets.
