PENAMPANG: Oct 18, 2026 – A 27-year-old man was killed and a male passenger seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident at the 360 Roundabout on Jalan Bundusan early yesterday morning.
In the incident at about 4.30am, the car carrying both men skidded before crashing into the roundabout wall, causing the front of the vehicle to catch fire.
Penampang District Police Chief Superintendent Sammy Newton said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the seriously injured passenger is receiving treatment at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Kota Kinabalu.
The driver’s identity has not been disclosed and the passenger has yet to be identified.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
