KOTA KINABALU: Nov 7, 2026 – A total of 20 case items involving nine investigation papers were disposed of by the Criminal Investigation Division of Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters (IPD) through the Case Items Disposal Ceremony Series 19/2026 at the Centralised Case Items Store of IPD Kota Kinabalu yesterday.
The disposal involved case items from the period 2020 to 2026 after obtaining court permission.
Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief, ACP Shahrudin bin Mat Husain attended to witness the disposal process together with senior police officers of IPD Kota Kinabalu.
The general category case items were disposed of through breaking and cutting methods before being buried according to established procedures.
The process was completed at 10.30 am in a controlled condition.
The exercise aims to ensure that case item management at IPD Kota Kinabalu is carried out systematically, transparently and with integrity.
