KOTA KINABALU: Sept 5, 2026 — Sabah-born singer Eylia Guntabid has been chosen as the opening act for Hillsong Worship’s upcoming concert in Kota Kinabalu on Sept 13.
The Australian contemporary worship band’s debut performance in the Sabah capital is scheduled to take place at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) at 8pm, before Hillsong Worship takes the stage.
Eylia is the winner of StarVoices Asia Season 7 and has won several gold medals at the World Championships of Performing Arts.
She also participated in Bintang RTM 2024 and is currently actively producing music, including her single Langadon Oku Sabah, which was released in 2026.
Meanwhile, Malaysian singer-songwriter Nigel Tay has been selected as the opening act for Hillsong Worship’s performance at Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur on Sept 9.
