LAHAD DATU: Sept 19, 2026 — A total of 272 undocumented Filipino migrants were repatriated to their home country via Bongao Port in the Philippines on Thursday.
They were transferred from the Kota Kinabalu Immigration Depot through the Lahad Datu Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex before being sent to Bongao on a commercial ferry.
The detainees comprised 166 adult men, 63 adult women, 17 boys and 26 girls aged between six months and 68 years.
To date, a total of 5,233 undocumented migrants have been repatriated, comprising 3,455 Filipinos, 1,488 Indonesians, 120 Pakistanis, 127 Chinese, 21 Vietnamese and 22 nationals of other countries.
All detainees had completed their sentences under legal provisions and possessed valid Travel Documents (TD) to undergo the repatriation process.
