KOTA KINABALU: 7 June 2026 – More than 20 hotel, restaurant, café and bistro operators in Sabah received awards at the fifth edition of The Signature Food Fest (TSFF) Award Night held at a hotel here last night.
The TSFF festival was last held in 2017. It has now been revived to position Sabah as a leading food tourism destination in the region.
Sabah Assistant Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, said the food and beverage industry plays an important role in creating memorable experiences for visitors.
“Food tourism has become a major attraction. Sabah has a unique advantage through its diverse cultures and local cuisines,” he said when officiating the award ceremony at Grandis Hotels & Resorts.
During the event, Grandis Hotels & Resorts received the TSFF Lifetime Achievement Award, while Happy Place Restaurant received the Grand Hospitality Excellence Award.
The festival was held throughout May and involved the participation of hotels, restaurants, cafés and bistros from across Sabah.
