BANGI: Aug 14, 2026 – Sabah defeated Sarawak 2-0 in their second Group A match of the XXII Selangor 2026 Malaysia Games (SUKMA) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Stadium yesterday.
The victory gave Sabah three points after two matches, following their 0-1 loss to Terengganu in their opening fixture.
Sabah now top Group A with three points, level with Terengganu. Sarawak are still without a point.
Group A consists of only three teams – Sabah, Terengganu and Sarawak.
Sabah will still have to wait for the outcome of the group’s final match to determine their final standing and their chances of advancing to the quarter-finals.
The quarter-finals are scheduled for Aug 18, should Sabah qualify to continue their challenge.
