KOTA KINABALU: Sept 7, 2026 – The Sabah Immigration Department detained 133 undocumented immigrants during 20 enforcement operations conducted across the state from Aug 27 to Sept 3.
The operations involved screening 289 individuals at various strategic locations throughout Sabah’s districts.

Of the total detainees, 97 were Filipino nationals comprising 45 adult males, 25 adult females, 18 male children and nine female children.
Sabah Immigration also detained 32 Indonesian nationals, consisting of 27 adult males and five adult females.

The remaining four detainees were Pakistani nationals, all adult males.
The Sabah Immigration Department said enforcement operations would be continuously intensified at strategic locations across all districts to ensure compliance with immigration laws.
The public has been reminded not to shelter, employ or assist foreign nationals who violate the country’s legal provisions and are urged to report undocumented immigrant activities through official Sabah Immigration Department channels.
