KOTA KINABALU: Sept 2, 2026 – The 47th Youth Ministry Conference (PMM) of the Borneo Evangelical Mission (SIB) Sabah received an overwhelming response at its opening ceremony held at the KDCA Hall in Penampang yesterday.
The hall was packed with participants, while the live broadcast of the event recorded approximately 2,500 views, enabling wider participation.
The conference, themed “Connected,” runs for three days from Sept 1 to 3, featuring various spiritual activities and Revival Services (KKR).
PMM SIB Sabah chairman, Pastor Hallsen Justin, said the conference aims to equip the younger generation as spiritual leaders capable of bringing change to families, churches, and communities.
“The younger generation must not only be active in church but also be steadfast in faith, possess integrity, and be able to lead transformation,” he said.
He added: “Young people, we are the generation being prepared to become influencers of God’s Kingdom – Kingdom Influencers.”
SIB Sabah President, Rev. Dr. Sintoh Yusuf, explained that the theme “Connected,” based on John 15:1-8, emphasises an abiding relationship with Christ.
He said that a relationship with Christ should not be sought only when we need help, but rather should be the foundation of daily life that leads to transformation and spiritual maturity.
“Young people should not only be known through their service but also through a life rooted in Christ,” he said.
The conference continues until September 3, with sessions focusing on the relationship with Christ, spiritual formation, and the calling of the younger generation.
