SICC Celebrates Hari Sabah with Special Luncheon and Community Fair

KOTA KINABALU: September,1 2026 — The Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) marked Hari Sabah with a special luncheon and community fair that brought together traditional cuisine, local products, culture, and Sabahan entrepreneurs.

Under the theme “Citarasa Tradisi, Meraikan Sabah” (Tastes of Tradition, Celebrating Sabah), the celebration was held to highlight Sabah’s rich culinary and cultural heritage while encouraging public support for local products and businesses.

The Hari Sabah Tamu (market fair) featured an array of traditional delicacies, fresh agricultural produce, and handicrafts, while also serving as a platform for farmers, fishermen, artisans, and local entrepreneurs to promote their products to visitors.

SICC Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Rosmawati Lasuki, said the celebration brought together food, culture, community, and local entrepreneurs under one roof.

“We are honoured to celebrate Hari Sabah by bringing together food, culture, community, and local entrepreneurs all in one venue.

“This celebration is not just an opportunity to enjoy delicious fare, but also a platform for us to appreciate Sabah’s cultural diversity and flavours, celebrate our state’s identity, and support local entrepreneurs,” she said.

The Hari Sabah Luncheon and Tamu took place at SICC from 10am to 3pm.

SICC also extended its appreciation to strategic partners and local suppliers, including Jetsin Sdn Bhd, SF Supplies, Vik Fresh Fruits & Vegetable Trading, ASN Trading, Yang Fung Food Industry Sdn Bhd, SR Events Sdn Bhd, Margaret Florist, and Likas Flora Sdn Bhd, for their support in making the Hari Sabah celebration a success and for promoting Sabah’s local produce and products.
