KOTA KINABALU: August 30, 2026 – The KTC Consolidated Berhad mega sale, which kicked off on 28 August, has received an overwhelming response from the public, with shoppers flocking to the promotional venue since the very first day.
The three-day sales event offers a wide range of daily necessities and household items at special prices, with discounts of up to 80% on selected products.
On 29 August (Saturday), the event reached its peak with the presence of renowned Singaporean actor Henry Thia, affectionately known as Hui Ge, at the mega sale location from 1pm to 3pm.
Hui Ge drew large numbers of visitors who came specifically to meet and interact up close with the popular comedy actor. Throughout his time at the venue, Hui Ge was seen warmly posing for photos with shoppers and taking part in activities prepared at the event site.
His fans also seized the opportunity to capture memorable moments with their idol, further adding to the joy and lively atmosphere throughout the promotion.
KTC Consolidated Berhad Executive Director Datuk Dexter Lau said the organisation of this mega sale was not only aimed at offering consumers more value-for-money shopping options, but also served as a platform to strengthen ties between the company and the local community.
“We hope this mega sale provides the public with the opportunity to obtain daily necessities at more affordable prices, while allowing more people to become familiar with the products and services offered by KTC,” he said.
He also expressed his appreciation to the public for their strong support on the first day of the promotion and encouraged consumers to make the most of the final day of the sale by arriving early to avoid missing out on stock.
