KENINGAU: Aug 29, 2026 – Six visual arts artists from the Tangan Keramat Club produced a mural themed around Sabah’s land and technology, together with 20 special needs students from the Special Education Integration Programme (PPKI) at Keningau Vocational College (KV) on Aug 26.
The project was supported by the Keningau Division Youth and Sports Office as an initiative to enliven the creative economy sector among youth.

Club founder, Shah Rezza Balaludin, said the mural was completed within approximately four hours with the assistance of Form Four special needs students, using Meta Quest virtual reality (VR) headset technology.
Meanwhile, KV Keningau Director, Lumang anak Lang, said the effort opens up more opportunities for students to explore the visual arts field, which is growing as a creative industry.

“The active involvement of special needs students in the sketching and painting process provides them with a new experience,” he said.
He also welcomed collaboration with community clubs and government agencies in carrying out activities that benefit the college community.
