SHAH ALAM: Octobet 13, 2026 – Mixxccomoko Philip, a youth from Kampung Ulu Nandal, Tambunan, took second place in the Best Student Enterprise category at the UiTM Entrepreneurship Awards ceremony at Hotel De Palma, Shah Alam, on October 12.
The achievement was the result of his determination in growing Kaingaran Agrofarm while still studying. Mixxccomoko is a student at UiTM Sabah Branch.
In an interview with TV Sabah, Mixxccomoko said the recognition would spur him on to continue developing his agricultural venture.
“I am very grateful for this award. Winning second place at the national level is a very meaningful honour for me.”
“However, my journey is still long. I will continue to work hard, learn and improve myself to grow this venture,” he said.
According to Mixxccomoko, entrepreneurship requires dedication, the courage to take risks and a willingness to learn new things, especially in facing the challenges of building a business.
Through Kaingaran Agrofarm, he explores modern agriculture, including hydroponic technology, to make the sector more innovative and competitive.
Mixxccomoko hopes the achievement will encourage more young people, especially in Sabah, to venture into agriculture and entrepreneurship by harnessing technology and creative ideas.
In his view, success is not merely about gaining recognition, but also about opening economic opportunities and benefiting the community.
The selection and evaluation of participants were carried out by their respective UiTM campuses before representatives were put forward for the competition. Mixxccomoko’s achievement reflects the potential of students to build businesses while still studying.
The success also helped raise the profile of UiTM Sabah Branch and the Faculty of Plantation and Agrotechnology.
