KOTA KINABALU: Members of the public are invited to the first anniversary celebration and grand opening of Chunk & Dunk at Imago Shopping Mall on May 3.
Chunk & Dunk is founded by Adam Shamil, a household name who has built a career as a content creator before leveraging his success as an entrepreneur.
According to Adam, the event will be the “biggest public entrepreneurial display celebration in Kota Kinabalu” featuring Bella Astillah as the main act. The hugely popular singer, actress, and model will be performing three songs. Miss World Malaysia 2010 Nadia Heng will be the host. Local artistes Hafiey Suffian and Dabra Sia will also be making a special performance during the celebration.
Adam founded Chunk & Dunk, a croffle and ice shaved business, a year ago. Just nine months after, he managed to sell 100,000 croffles, raking in RM1.1 million in revenue.
Chunk & Dunk in Imago Shopping Mall was his third outlet and was most significant. In one article he mentioned that to be able to secure a spot in such a strategic location – not to mention that the mall was very strict in selecting its tenants – was indeed a huge deal of him.
Not only that, Chunk & Dunk is the only Sabah-based F&B brand to have secured a spot in such a prestigious mall. So, there’s everything to celebrate for in the upcoming occasion.
The event on that day will start at 12pm and members of the public are invited to come free of charge.
To mark the event, Chunk & Dunk will offer an exclusive release limited edition tumblers nicely packed in a premium magnetic box. There will only be 550 units available. In addition, there will be 1,000 free croffles and shaved ice to go around.
Nice freebies aside, the event will offer a chance to meet the star of the event, Adam, in person. The Sabah’s rising entrepreneurial star surely has some tips and secrets to share with anyone who is interested to emulate his success.
Adam, is as Sabahan as any other sons and daughters of this beloved state. But how he got to be where he is now – within relatively a short period of time at that – is something only he can tell.
