KOTA BELUD: Sept 2, 2026 – Police have arrested three men at about 3.30pm yesterday to assist investigations into a brawl involving several men in front of a grocery shop along a roadside in Kota Belud, after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
Kota Belud District Police Headquarters (IPD) received information regarding the video at around 2.30pm yesterday before launching an investigation.
Investigations revealed that the fight occurred at about 9.30am yesterday in front of a grocery store premises in the district.
Three more suspects are still being traced to assist with investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting in a public place with weapons.
Police advised the public not to speculate on the incident, which could jeopardise the investigation.
Any witnesses with information related to the incident are urged to come forward to the Kota Belud IPD to assist in the probe.
